Why We’re Fighting A Losing War Against The Corrupt Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC)
We should not allow the corrupt SEC to regulate our cryptocurrencies and exchanges.
For those of you who are not aware, Celsius will no longer allow ordinary US citizens to earn interest on their crypto after being “strong-armed” by the Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC).
According to the SEC, ordinary investors are too “intellectually challenged” to handle their money and make investments in “risky” assets.
Logically this, therefore, means that the only people who should be allowed to earn interest from their crypto investments should be “sophisticated investors;” also known as investors who have a net worth of >1M USD (excluding primary residence) and an annual household income >200k USD.
But hold on a minute… since when was earning guaranteed interest on cryptocurrencies that you ALREADY OWN OUTRIGHT a risky investment?
Granted, cryptocurrencies are risky investments but the risk lies in the asset and not the interest earned from holding the asset.
As the SEC hasn’t barred ordinary investors from owning crypto-assets, I can only assume that their only intention is for only the rich to earn interest from the crypto, allowing the rich to get richer, while ordinary investors don’t.
The SEC isn’t trying to protect you and me.
The SEC is looking out for its cronies.
My question is… who holds the SEC accountable for its actions? Apparently, it’s this guy…
Carl Hoecker (Inspector General at the Securities & Exchange Commission)
The SEC actually receives very little external oversight, so thank God it has a man with great integrity (like Carl Hoecker) to keep it honest!
WRONG.
This guy has been investigated between 2017-2019 and even suspended from his job as Inspector General for 7 days for allegations of misconduct and bias.
It was revealed in December 2021 that he kept his job despite SEC documents revealing that he was found guilty of serious misconduct by the Federal Integrity Committee.
In conclusion, the SEC is so rotten and corrupt that even the people who are meant to watch over its internal affairs, are bad apples.
So let’s expose the SEC for the bad apples that they are. Take these steps now to fight back and protect your financial interests from unnecessary government oversight and corrupt bureaucrats.

I’ll be honest and admit that it’s very likely that nothing will come out of this and things will continue as they’ve always been.
If they do, then we can at least sleep well at night knowing that we tried.
As always,
